PixieEditor - Data Export Documentation |
Exporting Data with PixieEditor
You need to be successfully connected to a PICK account before the Export facility is available.
- Open the file you wish to export then click on the Export button (top left). The following screen shot illustrates the export options available: MySQL, MS Access/Jet, MS SQL Server. Click on the option required.
- The following text follows the path when MS Access/Jet is selected. The following screen appears after the option is selected. Click the "General" purpose check-mark if not using with PixieEngine. Most export attempts will be "General". Note that the PICK file opened is BRANCH (PixieEditor transferred this here) and the default Access table is also BRANCH. The default "Account" is shown, but can be changed.
- Click OK button when fields are correctly filled.
- The following screen will appear when OK button clicked. This indicates that the data export itself is ready to proceed.
- At the end of the export the following screen will appear indicating that it has successfully transferred the data. (Please ignore that the file transferred is BANKS and not BRANCH - this is a publishing error only but it illustrates the purpose of the screen.) Click the OK button and the task is complete and PixeEditor is available for its next action.
