A GUI User Interface for COBOL
PixieWebŪ (now PEWeb) and PixieLinkŪ (now PEDirect) software is universal in principal, as they connect to the host text application via TCP/IP. They supply a technique for re-using legacy code. They do not employ ODBC, they employ a unique socket interface to provide the connection. Our methodology requires changing the way legacy applications send screen output to a receiving agent. Formerly text output is changed to DHTML within a legacy program. The DHTML is wrapped in special TAGS before sending by the program. These tags are deciphered by provided ASP's and the GUI is rendered.
