The Pixieware® software provides fast, reliable and easy access to DMS: data, programs, and screen-output. Pixieware® software delivers the ability to interface Windows-side applications seamlessly with DMS applications running on ADP-PICK, R&R-PICK or UltPlus. All PixieWare products connect to a "remote" DMS computer via the fast and rock-solid Telnet protocol. PixieWare and Telnet out-performs ODBC, and most alternative Client/Server connection agents. Some tools are designed for the end-user (PixieExcel), some are designed for the developer (PixieWeb and PixieRobot), and Dextractor© may be used by both. Solutions Offered by Pixieware® Providing Access To DMS Data PixieWeb®  PixieWeb® is a general purpose connectivity device operating between Windows and the DMS. It is an ActiveX .dll providing access to the DMS via Telnet, and is a general connectivity alternative for ODBC. Clients can be Browsers, VB (or other COM aware languages), as well as Windows desk-top applications (VBA). It is a tool-kit that is used to create many innovative "add-on" applications to enhance and transform mainstream DMS applications. It can be used to execute simple TCL enquiries, through to sophisticated file up-dates and data-retrievals. Access to TCL, programs, and screen-outputs for scraping, make the possibilities endless. Access may be automated to run upon a schedule, or be triggered manually or by some external event. Dextractor© A general purpose extractor of data from DMS Pick databases (incl. ADP and Reynolds). A tool developed for the more technical user. It provides a user-friendly GUI interface to a series of extraction parameters, that define the data to be extracted, and the format of the output data. The output format may be HTML, Excel, CSV or even FTP'd. The parameters are submitted to the DMS and the data extracted and formatted. Dextractor© is currently in Beta testing, but you may apply for a test-drive. PixieExcel®  Populates Excel spreadsheets with data from DMS Pick databases (incl. ADP and Reynolds). A tool developed for the end-user, it provides a user-friendly interface to the DMS from within Excel. Just install and run your queries. PixieExcel is an easy-to-use data export process that has been designed to allow the user to quickly and easily extract data into an EXCEL spreadsheet from the DMS. The select and export process is initiated from within Excel. PixieEditor®  Provides a modern method of editing DMS data, with data item viewing and editing capabilities. It has a "look and feel" close to the style that has become standard for Windows text and word processors. Also provides a simple-to-use DMS data extract and filtering facility to: MySQL, MS ACCESS, MS SQL Server. Building Applications  If you have the requirement to connect to the DMS from Windows but don't have the time or skills to do the work yourself, then we offer a application development service. Our resources know and understand the intricacies of the DMS, and the capabilities of PixieWare, and can build applications quickly and inexpensively.
