Abbasoft Technologies Announce Agreement (January 2001)

ABBASOFT Technologies, Inc. of Laguna Hills, Calif, makers of MRP/ERP software, and Pixieware Software contractors facilitating the transformation of legacy software, recently announced an agreement to develop a joint product which combines the PixieEngine™ and the ABBASOFT WebEZ development tool into one product.

The ABBASOFT WebEZ tool allows developers and end users to convert character based applications into Web-based systems. The creation of a new browser-based front-end that can be driven by the core application is the result. The tool also allows users to customise or change screens quickly and easily.

PixieWare software allows you to convert your MultiValue application to some of the worlds most popular databases such as Microsoft SQL Server. The company has also successfully mastered the ability to insert HTML code into Basic code, allowing existing applications to use a common browser instead of a terminal emulator. The exciting development is that not only will ABBASOFT's core products (NetPartner and WebPartner) run on D3 but also on MS SQL Server, ABBASOFT said.

ABBASOFT will also represent this new product in the United States.

Technology Outsource Group and Pixieware Software Announce Distribution

   Agreement. (December 2000)

Pixieware Software the developers of the PixieWare® software products, has developed a range of middle-ware software for transforming legacy applications into "today's" systems. Targeting the Multi-value database market, Pixieware Software is pleased to announce that it has appointed the USA based software development company, Technology Outsource Group, Inc., to distribute one its key products, PixieWeb®.

Technology Outsource Group (TOG), has signed a deal that will allow them to incorporate (embed) the PixieWeb® software into its own software products. The distribution arrangement allows PixieWeb software to be sold into the huge automotive retail industry (Dealership Management) within the USA. TOG is focused on B2B e-commerce and Web-based applications for car dealers. (www.togroup.com).

TOG is situated in the Coral Gables, Florida and has been developing vertical software solutions for their major clients ADP (revenues US$6b per year) and Reynolds & Reynolds (revenues US$1.1b per year). Together ADP and R & R dominate that market. TOG supplies both companies with their software, which will have PixieWeb®, embedded. TOG has been granted the exclusive rights to use and distribute the PixieWeb® software in this market.

The founder and Chief Executive of TOG, Bill Russo, has over 20 years experience in applying leading-edge technology in the automotive retail market. Bill says of the PixieWeb® agreement "We feel the PixieWare team is greatly focused on the small but mission-critical task of linking open systems with proprietary data structures. This component fits well into our overall B2B strategy."

   EBS Distribution Agreement (May 2000)

The TOTAL Computer Company, the developers of the Pixieware® software product range for multi-value (Pick) systems, is pleased to announce the following product news.

That it has just appointed the established Pick software company EBS, to sell, install and support the Pixieweb® software in USA and Canada. EBS’s offices are situated in the mid-west USA, which is ideally positioned to service a very large geographical area and population. EBS was founded in 1972 and since that time has been developing vertical and horizontal software solutions for their clients in the multi-value arena. EBS has been granted the exclusive rights to distribute the Pixieweb® software in this market.

The TOTAL Computer Company is satisfied with this arrangement as it ends months of trying to enter the North American market on its own.

Previously it has sold its software directly off its web site with some success, but this method lacked credibility when support could only be offered remotely and electronically. Larger prospects need that face to face communications, which is difficult to provide from Auckland’s remote location. EBS can now build on the successes already made.

EBS will distribute the versions of the Pixieweb® software released in January 2000, which enable either Internet browsers, or Microsoft™ Windows™ applications, to access multi-value (Pick) applications. Pixieweb allows new front-end methods to be developed for multi-value systems on the Windows NT™ platform. Internet Explorer, MS Word, Excel, and Access can connect dynamically to the multi-value database using Pixieweb®. The software is sold via client and site licences.
