Pixieware Support Policy
General Support
Currently we offer the following General Product Support service which is provided free of charge to registered users of PixieWare Software products. Our General Product Support service usually covers activities related to the following areas:
Product evaluation and documentation
Platform evaluation
Product download and installation
Getting started - on the first application
Our General Product Support service includes:
Telephone Support
Access to technical support staff, by phone calls from registered users, is provided to help answer questions about our products. Registered users can talk directly with PixieWareŽ support staff at no cost and this service is provided throughout the evaluation period.E-mail Support
Registered users of PixieWareŽ products can obtain answers to unlimited number of technical questions relating to the normal use of the software via e-mail. Our technical support staff will review your message and try and resolve the question. For General Product Support, e-mail inquiries are typically answered in less than two business days. It may be necessary for us to clarify a situation prior to a firm answer being given, and this may be done by return e-mail or by a phone call. The method used will be at our discretion.Support Coverage
PixieWare Software technical support is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. New Zealand Standard Time except for the following holidays. You will generally find that we are open for support on most USA public holidays.

Access to Online FAQs and Knowledge Base
Information on most PixieWareŽ products is available on our Web site, via FAQs and our Knowledge Base. We recommend this as a place to initially look for answers to your questions.
Downloadable Product Updates
PixieWareŽ product updates are available to download from our Web site as soon as they are released. Currently product updates are provided free of charge to those who have purchased products. Customers will be advised by e-mail when an upgrade is available.
Access to Online Sample Projects and Demos
A number of tutorials and sample projects with source code are available online and also with downloaded products to help you get started.
Cost
There is no charge for General Product Support. It is included with the product purchase.
Warranty
The PixieWareŽ software is covered by the following money-back warranty. To make a warranty claim the PixieWareŽ software must be returned to us within 60 days of the date of the initial installation, with a written statement of the reason, why it is found to be defective or irregular. If you are not satisfied with the results, we will fully refund your purchase price, provided:
You installed it properly and used it for the purpose intended and specified.
You are prepared to show us the results of your work.
You make the request within 60 days from date of initial installation.
You fully paid for the software.
Application Development Support
We charge for our time spent on activities related to systems analysis and design, as well as developing application source code which includes scripts. We will advise when we believe that calls for assistance have gone beyond the scope of the basic technical support offered by PixieWare Software. If you use PixieWare open-source software such that you profit by its use, we ask that you assist the future development of PixieWare by purchasing some form of support. If PixieWare helps your business, we feel it is reasonable to ask that you help PixieWare. Otherwise, if you ask us support questions, you are not only using PixieWare open-source for free but you are asking us to provide free support, as well.
