• Has an Explorer style interface for Pick/Universe, which provides a "Tree View" method of navigation and selection. 

New data stores are made to behave in same way as traditional MV databases.

Glues IIS and browsers (especially IE5) together in such a way that they create an alternative to terminals. 

Apache also connects to a MV program directly via Telnet (no phantoms required).

Pixielink is a Visual Basic application residing on a client PC, communicating with a legacy PICK application via the HTML  protocol.

Text can be opened, edited and saved in Windows or in Pick.

The core of PixieEngine is a "Server-side ActiveX" wrapper for non-MV database engines (i.e. Access, MySQL, Oracle, SQL-Server). 

Login security is available through password and Id. encryption.

Well-written PICK applications with a consistent structure will be easy to modify. 

Uses TCP/IP sockets to connect to the MV database.
While its core is "Object Oriented", PixieEngine also has a "Socket Server" component that enables it to support terminal emulation in the "Classic" style. 

Includes PixieBridge to connect WWW to older serial databases, such as R83 PICK.

Uses TCP/IP sockets to connect directly to MV database without the need for web-server.  
Configures database to present its operations in an MV-like way. 

• Uses TCP/IP sockets to connect to MV database.

• Any DBMS with TCP/IP is a candidate (e.g. filePro®).

Provided free with PixieWeb licence to allow green-screens to be used while app. is being converted.  
Provides a host programming environment in VB with a DATABASIC-like flavour.

Set of Pick-like functions available to be called from ASP scripts if web serving (massage data being passed from Pick). 

Web-server and PixieWeb combination is added if publishing same screens on the web.  

Includes a Pick Basic converter, and  Pick data converter.

• PixieRobot™ a robot application, which can send and receive data by email for a Pick server.
• PixieRobot™ a robot application utilising Web pages as a source of data. Intelligent and accurate browsing of HTML content on standard Web pages.

• Offers complete printer independence.
• PixiePrint software is a utility that solves the problem when MV application prints PCL codes, and needs to print to wide range of printing devices.

• Pixiebridge™ software is a utility that solves the problem of translation between TCP/IP socket communications and serial communications.

• Populates Excel spreadsheets with data from MV databases.
• Developed for the end-user as it provides a user-friendly interface toMV from Excel.
• Just install and run your queries.

• Distinctive features of PixieRobot are:
(1) Navigation to web pages
(2) Filling in of forms and submitting them
(3) Analysis and output of the received data

• PixiePrint will convert PCL codes into a generalised Windows printer instruction set. • Adds capability to connect to native MV box across a modern network and even across the internet.

• Provides an easy-to-use GUI front-end to Pick.

• The connection to Pick, and the data selection and downloading processes are simple and seamless.

• By linking email folders to Pick D3 as "Super Q pointers, to Universe via Type 1/19 files, or to AP via Dos Services Gateway, Pick becomes email capable.  

• PixieRobot collects and delivers messages and attachment files to "drop boxes" which are Windows file system folders.

• Additional print features (e.g. color shading) included. • PixieBridge can be placed on any PC on the LAN

• Performs Access level queries (Select, List) with conversion and correlative processing rules applied.

• PICK/Universe dictionary formatting and processing codes control the width and other formatting of Excel columns.

• VB script facilities are used to make it programmable. E.G. PixieRobot runs a script whenever mail arrives & to browse a web page.

• Prints popular barcode fonts with controls embedded in PCL output from Pick. 

• Positions nominated barcode font anywhere on output document as well as specify its height and width.

• Used to web enable native Pick installations

• 4 simple steps to retrieve MV data:

  (1) select an account 

  (2) select a file 

  (3) select a query 

  (4) Execute the request 

• Can also  perform raw data reads and writes.
